Sedation Dentsitry

Sedation Dentistry for Dental Care in Complete Comfort
If you have had anxiety about treatment in the past, we have a solution to make it easy for you. With sedation dentistry, you can have all the necessary work performed without the fear.

By taking one pill an hour before your appointment, you will gradually progress into a deep level of sedation. You will be able to answer questions when asked, but you will not be aware of the work being done. Your vital signs are continually monitored during treatment, and when finished, someone will drive you home. In about an hour, you are back to normal.

Some patients have an even greater fear of being “knocked out.” You are not completely out as during surgery. The sedation is just enough so you are relieved of any anxiety because you do not feel anything, but still maintain consciousness.

Conscious sedation works well for people who are very resistant to anesthesia – they simply do not get numb. Other patients can’t fit repeated visits into their schedule and need to take care of all their work in one visit. Conscious sedation makes it easy for these patients. We also offer nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, for some patients to achieve their state of relaxation.
